In today’s post-‘Avatar’ world, some filmmakers are quick to use cgi and post-production wizardry to create the world of a movie, so it’s refreshing to hear that there are filmmakers out there that will still turn to practical effects and actual scenery for their production when they can. For the latest ‘Total Recall’ tidbit, director Len Wiseman and company talk about how physical everything in this remake ended up being for a new vignette to promote the movie. Check it out below courtesy of Comic Book Movie:

I’m looking forward to seeing the fight sequences in this movie because as someone mentioned in the video, it’s rare that an actor can actually fight well onscreen, so I’d like to see how Colin Farrell, Kate Beckinsale, and Jessica Biel do.

And if you’re interested in some cool non-cg costume effects, check out the post from yesterday where you can see this version’s three-breasted prostitute played by Kaitlyn Leeb, who appeared at San Diego Comic-Con in costume.

Opening in theaters on August 3rd, ‘Total Recall’ stars Colin Farrell, Kate Beckinsale, Jessica Biel, Bryan Cranston, Bill Nighy, and John Cho.
