Earlier this week, Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures announced plans for sequels for their reboot of ‘Godzilla’. The King of Monsters rampaged into theaters with an impressive $93.2 million at the box office during its opening weekend. But despite the mixed reviews, it’s hard to argue that the iconic character looked great in his most recent outing on the big screen that took him to America, so it’s unsurprising that a follow-up is already in development. However what will this sequel be about?

If you looked closely during the movie when Joe and Ford Brody ventured back to their old house in the quarantined zone, you may have noticed a terrarium labeled “Mothra”. While some sources say that the studios don’t own the rights to Godzilla’s feature film foes, a post-credits scene only seen in select Asian countries might indicate otherwise. According to KDramaStars, Gareth Edwards’ take on one of the most legendary movie monsters of all time features an exclusive scene after the credits that opens with an army of flying MUTOs. Then, it’s revealed that Mothra is commanding this legion of creatures and the scene concludes with the winged villain creating a hurricane with it’s wings. With an ending like that, it’s very possible that these two kaiju could clash when Godzilla is awakened again for the sequel.

One person who won’t be there to find out is Bryan Cranston. If you haven’t seen the movie yet, it would be a huge SPOILER to tell you that his character dies in the film, but maybe that was for the better for the ‘Breaking Bad’ and ‘Malcolm In The Middle’ star. In an interview with Fandango, Cranston reveals that his co-star Godzilla is a huge diva that was just a pain to work with. Check out his scathing remarks in the (hilarious) video below:

What do you think about the rumored post-credits scene for ‘Godzilla’ floating around Asia? Do you think that we’ll see Mothra take on the King of Monsters in the sequel? Are there any other classic kaiju that you hope will eventually make it into this rebooted franchise? And what are your thoughts on Godzilla being a jerk? ‘Godzilla’ starring Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Ken Watanabe, Elizabeth Olsen, Juliette Binoche, and Bryan Cranston is in theaters now.
