One week ago, we got our very first look at Lizzy Caplan in Marvel’s next One-Shot short film ‘Item 47’ that will appear on the Blu-ray release of ‘The Avengers’ on September 25th. Today, we get a poster for the film that plays on the theatrical poster of ‘The Avengers’ and a very short clip as a preview.

The short stars Caplan of ‘Party Down’ and ‘Cloverfield’ and Jesse Bradford of ‘Bring It On’ and ‘Flags of Our Fathers’ as a down on their luck couple who come across a weapon left behind after the Chitauri invasion of New York. After the pair turns to crime to turn their life around, S.H.I.E.L.D. agents played by Maximiliano Hernández (‘Thor’ and ‘The Avengers’) and Titus Welliver (‘Lost’) are sent in to try to stop them.

The film premieres this weekend at San Diego Comic-Con, but before the attendees of the con lay their eyes on it, everyone can catch a glimpse of ‘Item 47’ thanks to this clip from Collider:

Speaking of ‘The Avengers’, MTV (via CBR) has unveiled the package for ‘Marvel Cinematic Universe: Phase One – Avengers Assembled’, the 10-disc limited edition Blu-ray collector’s set that drops the same day as ‘The Avengers’ on DVD and Blu-ray. The set will include all six movies that made up Marvel’s Phase One (‘Iron Man’, ‘The Incredible Hulk’, ‘Iron Man 2’, ‘Thor’, ‘Captain America: The First Avenger’, and ‘The Avengers’), a bonus disc called ‘Phase One Archives’, amazing artwork by Matthew Ferguson (some of which can be seen above), and a glowing replica of the Tesseract AKA The Cosmic Cube. Take a look at the set below:

Judging by the picture, there could be a few more surprises that we don’t know about yet, but it’s likely that we’ll learn more about it this weekend at Comic-Con.  To get a better look at the artwork, you can see them all assembled at Collider. And if you’re wondering how much a set like this will set you back, the damage is over $200. If I had the money, I’d head to Amazon right now to reserve it.

Finally, a bit of news from Marvel’s Phase Two. According to Blastr, former ‘Chuck’ star Zachary Levi appeared on ‘The Tonight Show with Jay Leno’ last night and confirmed his involvement in ‘Thor 2’. Prior to this appearance, it was only rumored that he would be replacing Josh Dallas, whose commitments to ‘Once Upon A Time’ would keep him from returning to Asgard, as Fandral the Dashing alongside Ray Stevenson and Tadanobu Asano to form the beloved Warriors Three.

The newly bearded actor told Leno that he’ll be heading to London to start shooting after dropping by SDCC this weekend. Check out the clip from ‘The Tonight Show’ where he finally admits his involvement below:

‘Thor 2’, directed by ‘Game of Thrones’ favorite Alan Taylor, stars Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Natalie Portman, Idris Elba, Anthony Hopkins, and Mads Mikkelsen, and is scheduled for release on November 8, 2013.
