We’ve seen the first US trailer for Rian Johnson’s time-travel action thriller ‘Looper’. Now, we get our first look at the UK trailer. The trailer came online about an hour ago and was announced at the @LooperMovie Twitter account.

And be warned, as @LooperMovie puts it: “The UK trailer is terrific, but … it is slightly more spoilery than anything so far.”

The film follows the story of a man named Joe (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) who is an assassin who kills targets who are sent back through time from the future. But Joe’s mission becomes complicated when he discovers that his latest target is his future self (Bruce Willis).

‘Looper’ UK Trailer:

Also, according to the @LooperMovie account, there will be another official US trailer released sometime tomorrow.

I haven’t seen either of Johnson’s past films ‘Brick’ or ‘The Brothers Bloom’ but ‘Looper’ looks like an interesting enough concept that I’ll definitely be checking it out. Plus it’s cool to see a good looking sci-fi movie coming out that isn’t a reboot or sequel these days.

Time travel is one of those genres that is either completely amazing (‘Back to the Future’) or utter shite (‘Black Knight’) but it looks like ‘Looper’ will fall on the better side of that list.

What do you think? Are you ready to see Gordon-Levitt in yet another mind-warping movie?

‘Looper’ is written and directed by Rian Johnson and, aside from Gordon-Levitt and Willis, also stars Emily Blunt, Jeff Daniels, and Paul Dano. It is set to release in the US on September 28, 2012.
