‘Prometheus’ has already premiered in parts of Europe with widespread release to occur on June 1st. For us Americans, however, we have to wait another week before we get to see Ridley Scott’s return to the sci-fi genre. But that doesn’t stop the marketing department for the film as a new featurette has been released.

The IGN featurette aptly called ‘What is Prometheus?’ has cast members each giving their insights about the movie while giving props to director Scott and screenwriter Damon Lindelof.  There are no spoilers in the video which makes me one happy camper.

And while we’re on the subject of videos with no spoilers, Digital Spy was able to sit down with Michael Fassbender and talk about what influenced his portrayal of the android David 8. While it’s not surprising he mentioned David Bowie’s ‘The Man Who Fell to Earth’ as an inspiration point (as he the character seems to have a David Bowie-esque presence about him), what was interesting to note was that Fassbender  studied the movements of Olympic medalist diver Greg Louganis to inject into his role. The interview is quite interesting which you can see below.

With just over a week before the movie opens here in the US, I’m sure there’ll be more clips and featurettes released which will only make us wish we lived in Europe. At least we have the videos below to watch.
