Mason Cook as Eddie Munster in 'Mockingbird Lane'

The casting department for the NBC series ‘Mockingbird Lane’ has just scored a coup as they have added Mason Cook to be part of the Munster family.

Although still a youngster, Cook has an impressive resume starring in Robert Rodriguez’s ‘Spy Kids All the Time in the World 4D’ and has guest starred on popular shows like ‘Desperate Housewives,’ ‘The Middle,’ and ‘Raising Hope.’ Cook will also be appearing in the Gore Verbinski directed film ‘The Lone Ranger’ starring Johnny Depp.

In ‘Mockingbird Lane,’ Cook will be playing the role of Eddie Munster, only child and werewolf son of Herman and Lily. When Eddie finds out the truth about himself, he refuses to eat meat and faces off against Grandpa Sam.

Cook is the third actor to be cast in the series following the announcement of Eddie Izzard as Grandpa Sam Dracula and Charity Wakefield as the “plain” Marilyn.

The pilot was written by Bryan Fuller and is described as a visually spectacular one hour modern drama that will focus on the story of how Herman and Lily came to 1313 Mockingbird Lane and the exploits of their unique family. Bryan Singer is set to direct.

Production is scheduled to begin next month and the two leads still need to be filled so expect the news of who will play Eddie’s parents to come soon.
