Today was the day for ‘Amazing Spider-Man’ fans. Throughout the day, fans who were following @ScaleSeeker on Twitter, were given GPS coordinates throughout the day. The first people to these coordinates were treated to packages and clues leading towards Oscorp Labs and Dr. Curt Connors (aka The Lizard). Photos of these hidden packages were posted on Twitter as they came in. Most looked like this…

Meanwhile on Twitter, ‘Amazing Spider-Man’ director Marc Webb tweeted his own special image, a photo of Peter Parker sitting atop a lamp post in NYC. Of the bunch, I think this is one of the cooler images in its subtlety.

Elsewhere on the web (pun fully intended), Sony Pictures released three character posters from Japan. These posters featured Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield), Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone), and Dr. Connors himself (Rhys Ifans). Check them out below…

Finally, fans found a webpage for Oscorp Industries yesterday. At that time, there was nothing but a logo. But today a new video featuring Dr. Connors appeared on the site.

Here’s a second video from the same viral campaign that gives a look into the character of Curt Connors and a brief glimpse of his transformation into The Lizard.

‘Amazing Spider-Man’ is directed by Marc Webb, stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Rhys Ifans, Martin Sheen, Sally Field, and Dennis Leary. It swings into theaters in 2D, 3D, IMAX, and IMAX 3D on July 3, 2012.
