A new viral campaign from the Christopher Nolan / Warner Brothers camp has just hit the web for the upcoming ‘The Dark Knight Rises’. Before the release of the last film, ‘The Dark Knight’, WB had fans clamoring around the globe to find clues for the Joker. The new campaign is similar but, instead of helping the Joker, they’re helping the Gotham City PD track down the vigilante known as The Batman.

Yesterday, the official ‘Dark Knight Rises’ site changed to a dossier from the Gotham PD detailing what is known about Batman so far. Included in this mysterious document is a long list of random addresses around the world with the following instructions:

1.) Go to location listed

2.) Make sure your location services/store location is “On” in the camera settings.

3.) Take picture of the evidence at locale.

4.) Head home and either twitter out the picture taken to #tdkr07202012 or e-mail it to tdkr07202012@gothampolicedepartment.com

It didn’t take long for fans to begin scouring the world for these locations and images like the one below began appearing on Twitter.
