‘Supernatural’ has utilized the roster of Whedonverse regulars over the years, including appearances by James Marsters, Charisma Carpenter, and Amy Acker. As of April 27th, they can add another name to that list of guest stars: Felicia Day.
The geek queen will be featured in the upcoming season seven episode titled, ‘The Girl With The Dungeons and Dragons Tattoo’, and, according to TV Line, she will play an amateur computer hacker who “unwittingly gets wrapped up in Sam and Dean’s problems.”
Making her first Joss Whedon-related appearance in ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’ as Vi, the potential slayer, Day has since gone on to appear on many television shows including ‘Dollhouse’ and ‘Eureka’. She also created, writes, and stars in the popular web series ‘The Guild’, which revolves around the lives of gamers’ online guild that plays a MMORPG.
She also stars alongside Neil Patrick Harris and Nathan Fillion in Joss Whedon’s wannabe supervillain musical, ‘Dr. Horrible’s Sing Along Blog’, where she plays the love interest of both Dr. Horrible and Captain Hammer. As reported yesterday, production on a sequel is supposed to begin this summer, so if she’s involved in the project, Miss Day looks like she’ll be quite busy.
Are you excited to see Felicia Day guest star on the CW’s ‘Supernatural’? And who do you think the Winchester brothers will run into next from the many worlds of Joss Whedon? Maybe they’ll run into Captain Mal Reynolds or Dr. Bruce Banner one day.
