ABC has added Lennie James to their one hour supernatural drama pilot ‘Gotham.’

James is not new to the sci-fi drama and has appeared on several television series such as ‘Jericho’ (as Robert Hawkins), ‘The Prisoner’ (as 147/Driver) and ‘Human Target’ (as Baptiste). He also had a guest appearance on AMC’s ‘The Walking Dead.’ Movie-wise, he’s appeared in ‘Lost in Space’ and can be next seen in the Guy Pearce sci-fi movie ‘Lockout’ which comes out in April.

James will be joining Megan Ketch and Barry Sloane who were just recently cast. ‘Gotham’ centers on Detective Annie Travers (Ketch), a New York City detective, who, while investigating an “impossible murder” of a nightclub owner, is stunned to learn that there’s a secret magical world that exists within New York City that is unseen by normal humans and reinvents popular landmarks in a magical otherworldly manner. Her partner, Boyo (Sloane), is from that magical world. James will play Gabriel Riga, the “magnetic and wealthy CEO running for Mayor of New York City.” What he knows of this magical world has not been revealed but my guess is, if you’ve watched enough sci-fi shows, then you can probably guess with me that he knows something about the magical world and could be somehow connected to it.

‘Gotham’ is still in pre-production but once we get an air date, we’ll let you know!
