The sequel to Jonathan Liebesman’s ‘Clash of the Titans’ is set to premier in March of next year. Warner Bros. hot off the release of the ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ trailer, has posted an action packed trailer for ‘Wrath of the Titans’ which sees the return of Sam Worthington as Perseus.
‘Wrath of the Titans’ will feature a weakened pantheon of Greek gods that are no longer powerful enough to imprison their predecessors, the mighty titans. Bad guy Hades (Ralph Fiennes) returns to team up with the father of Zeus, Kronos, to raise some…well…Hades on earth. Mankind and Zeus’ only hope is Perseus. But the hero will have to get some help from the likes of Queen Andromeda (Alexa Davalos, also returning) and Hephaestus (‘Underworld’ and ‘Shaun of the Dead’ star Bill Nighy!).
While the release will only be two years removed from 2010’s ‘Clash of the Titans’ in real time, the follow up is set ten years in the future. Perseus has sought a quieter life as a single dad and fisherman, but, as in every film, he should have known it couldn’t last.
