We’ve seen her rocking the body suit as the Black Widow in the ‘Avengers’, now Scarlett Johansson is on the set of her new movie ‘Under the Skin’ and we have the pics!
‘Under the Skin’ is a sci-fi drama directed by Jonathan Glazer (‘Birth’) and based on the 2000 novel of the same name by Michael Faber. The book has been described as a dark sci-fi thriller that is both terrifying and unearthly and is about aliens that come to Earth (specifically a lone woman named Isserly) with a specific mission in mind: To abduct hitchhikers and take parts of them back to their home world where human meat is considered a delicacy. It’s not known how much of the movie will follow the book but here’s what the official synopsis for the film says:
“Johansson plays an alien on earth, disguised as the perfect aesthetic form of a mesmerizing woman. She scours remote highways and desolate scenery looking to use her greatest weapon to snare human prey — her voracious sexuality. She is deadly efficient, but over time becomes drawn to and changed by the complexity of life on earth. With this new found humanity and weakening alien resolve, she finds herself on a collision course with her own kind. Taking her point of view throughout, the film presents a unique look at our world through alien eyes.”
Other than the fact Johansson is starring in this movie and that that Glazer co-wrote the screenplay with writer Walter Campbell, not much else is known about the film. ‘Under the Skin’ is set for a 2012 release (yes, even the exact date of the release is unknown!) What is known is that Johansson fits the role of a sexy alien just fine as seen in the pictures below!
