This weekend’s location shooting for ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ involved some explosive effects and we have the photos and videos to show you!

Filming continued in the streets of Downtown Los Angeles and it looks like it centered on stunts.  One shot involved Bane’s truck crashing through a railing and falling from an upper street level to the lower street level. The scene took several days to set up as the area was covered with snow to simulate Gotham in the wintertime.  Some fans area already speculating that this stunt may be better than the big rig flip from Nolan’s last Batman movie. Below is an overhead video shot of the stunt followed by street level photos:

Also over the weekend was a stunt scene involving Bane’s HEMTT against the Batwing coming at each other and some pyrotechnics going off. These two videos look like they are from the same scene but from different takes:

It’s nice to see a superohero movie that is actually filming stunt scenes instead of relying on CGI. If you happen to catch location shooting of ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ let us know! Otherwise, keep coming back here for more ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ set news!
