A mere three days ago, we reported that ‘Justice League’ #1, the first issue of DC Comics’ New 52 relaunch, had completely sold out of the initial print run. DC was quick to get the landmark issue into a second printing for a street date of September 14. That second printing went up for order yesterday morning and, within hours, reports started coming in that the entire second print run had already sold as well! But fret not, comics fans, DC has announced that ‘Justice League’ #1 will be heading back to press again for a third printing. ‘Justice League’ #1 is written by Geoff Johns and illustrated by Jim Lee and Scott Williams. The release date for the third print has not yet been announced.

‘Justice League’ isn’t the only book from the DC’s New 52 to hit sold out status. As of yesterday, the first issues of ‘Batgirl’ (written by Gail Simone), ‘Action Comics’ (from Grant Morrison), ‘Hawk and Dove’ (illustrated by Rob Liefeld), ‘Justice League International’ (written by Dan Jurgens), and ‘Batman and Robin’ (by Peter J. Tomasi) have all sold out from the distributor, even with DC’s already boosted print runs. As with ‘Justice League’, all five of these issues have already been sent back for a second print. If you don’t want to miss out, be sure to head to your local comic shop and get on a list to get those first issues.
