Thanks to some diligent would-be paparazzi, this summer is a wonderful time to be a comic book movie fan. They’ve given us all the footage from the Pittsburgh set of ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ and the images of Chris Evans as Captain America on the set of ‘The Avengers’. Now these fans have come through again as the first photos and video of Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and Captain America together on that ‘Avengers’ set hits the web!
The images reveal Captain America and Thor battling an unnamed alien menace in the form of stuntmen in motion capture suits. The teaser trailer for ‘The Avengers’ revealed that Loki will return as a villain but who are all the alien soldiers? My guess would be that it’s a Skrull invasion but only time will tell.
‘The Avengers’, directed by Joss Whedon, will release May 4, 2012 and stars Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, and Samuel L. Jackson.
