Weekend Box Office 1-24-11

In it’s second weekend, ‘The Green Hornet’ scored a respectable $18.1 million and is now on its way to becoming the highest grossing live-action superhero comedy of all time. It’s current domestic gross is $63.4 million. ‘The Green Hornet’ scored the second-best opening ever for the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday with $34 million its first weekend. For the weekend, ‘Tron: Legacy’ grossed an additional $3.7 million bringing its total domestic gross to $163.2 million. Director Darren Aronofsky’s fantasy thriller ‘Black Swan’ has proved to be a strong film grossing $6.2 million and bringing its total domestic gross to $83.5 million.
