ABC has fast-tracked Marvel Comics’ ‘Alias’ for its’ Fall 2011 schedule. The series, based on superstar writer Brian Michael Bendis’ comic book ‘Alias’, has been retitled ‘AKA Jessica Jones’ to not confuse audiences with J.J. Abrams’ television series ‘Alias’ (ABC 2001-2006).

Bendis, known for his edgy crime fiction comic books, created the series when he starting writing for Marvel Comics. In the ‘Alias’ comic book, Jessica Jones is a former superhero and Avenger, who has retired from that life to become a private investigator.
