James Cameron had a runaway hit with ‘Avatar‘ when it was released and while multiple sequels have been in development for years, it looks like our next return to the planet Pandora will be in print. Dark Horse Comics is slated to bring us a new book titled ‘Avatar: Tsu’tey’s Path’ by writer Sherri L. Smith (‘Lucy the Giant’,’Flygirl’) with Jan Duursema (‘Star Wars: Dawn of the Jedi’,’Wolverine: Knight of Terra’) as the series artist and backing her up will be inker Dan Parsons (‘Star Wars: Dawn of the Jedi’,’Game of Thrones’), colorist Wes Dzioba (‘Star Wars: Dawn of the Jedi’,’Mystery Science Theater 3000′), and Doug Wheatley who is slated to tackle the covers for the books.

Dark Horse Comics has worked on multiple properties which James Cameron has developed over the years such as ‘Terminator’ and ‘Alien’ and this new comic is slated to take place during the same time period of 2009’s ‘Avatar.’  Here, we’ll see what is happening through the eyes of Tsu’tey, a Na’vi warrior that experienced the events of what happened when Jake Sully of the Sky People appeared on his land and changes everything which they’ve come accustomed to.

Not only that, but the book is set to show us events that were hinted at in ‘Avatar’ but were never shown on screen. While the four films that are in development will expand the world going forward, this will be some of the first we’ve seen as to what else was happening with the Na’vi when Jake first appeared and possibly see what some of their culture was like before humanity becoming involved.
