It wouldn’t be a season of ‘Gotham‘ without adding yet another of Batman’s Rogue Gallery, and now Shane West (‘Salem’,’Nikita’) has joined the series as a mystery villain. However, with details that have been given and past information we have a few clues as to who the actor could be playing.

We know that the actor is slated to play Eduardo Dorrance who is going to have served with Jim Gordon in the Army. He heads into Gotham to help everyone’s favorite police officer bring law and order to the streets and brings along a group of trained soldiers to help out. Unfortunately, it doesn’t take long for Gordon to realize that “Dorrance’s true intentions in Gotham are much darker and more evil than he could have believed.”

Now, we had already learned that King Snake would be in the series and eagle-eyed comic fans will know that an Edmund Dorrance is the real name of that character. It isn’t clear if we’re going to see a play on the name here to introduce King Snake or if this could already be his son Bane being introduced long before you would imagine him to be. Either way, we’ve had yet another of The Dark Knight’s enemies being introduced.

In the comics, Edmund Dorrance was part of an Asian street gang titled the Ghost Dragons and went by the name of King Snake. During his time in Santa Prisca, he would sleep with a female rebel who eventually gave birth to Bane while being held in prison for Dorrance’s crimes against the state. What we know about Eduardo and why it sounds like it will be the same character is that “Eduardo has been a warrior for quite some time now, as he has the commitment of a tireless soldier to follow every kind of order he is given. He is intolerant to betrayal, hence his full loyalty to his fellow soldiers. Whoever plays Eduardo would appear in episode 5 (filming 9/7 -9/19), episode 6 (filming 9/19 – 10-1), episode 8 (filming 10/12 – 10/24), and episode 9 (filming 10/20 – 11/5).”
