Marvel Studios still-untitled ‘Avengers 4‘ is still in post-production and now The Russo Brothers have shared a brief update as to where they are on the completion of the movie. With this being the follow up to a cliffhanger finger snap that has sent ripples through fandom, the duo has a lot of pressure to deliver a solid conclusion to a story arc that is ten years in the making. Add in factors such as the firing of James Gunn knocking the filming of ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’ off course and this could mean that they may even have to change a scene or two that specifically involves that set of actors. (Especially if Dave Bautista may not return for the endcap to the ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ trilogy and will have to be written off in this film.)

Even with all this in mind, production is plowing forward, and the directors have shared a rough timeline of where they are in post-production:

“We’ve worked on the edit all summer, and we’re excited to finally get these missing pieces in the film, and then we expect to be in post through the fall and winter. We hope to be done by March.”

With the release of ‘Avengers 4’ set to be on May 3rd, 2019 the idea that it will only be complete two months before that will likely have a few people sweating if any production delays pop up. With how ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ wrapped things up, there is no indication as to what we can expect for the next outing of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. It is an endcap to the story and also has to likely lay some of the groundwork for what is to come.
