Cyborg

We’ve known for quite some time that ‘Doom Patrol‘ was going to take a mission at the request of Cyborg on the DC Universe streaming platform and now we know who will be taking on the role. The series, which will be exclusive to the streaming service, is set to be played by English actor Joivan Wade (‘The First Purge,’ ‘Doctor Who’). The actor is no stranger to genre work and should be a great addition to the cast.

The network has now gone into detail on the character and describes this take on Vic Stone as:

The charming and sarcastic half-human, half-machine superhero known as Cyborg. Vic may be connected to every computer on the world, but he struggles to maintain the connections that make him human. Desperate to gain acceptance from the outside world, Vic harnesses the curse of his cybernetic body and uses his powers as the ultimate hero for the digital age.”Vic Stone is the charming and sarcastic half-human, half-machine superhero known as Cyborg. It sounds like they’ll be taking a few queues from past iterations of the character that tends to be what fans have loved about him over the years. If they can pull it off, this should please the majority of fans regardless of which version you’re familiar with.

Wade will be joining a cast which features Diane Guerrero, Dwain Murphy, Jake Michaels, April Bowlby, and more!
