We’ve been learning a lot about DC Universe‘s upcoming ‘Titans’ spinoff ‘Doom Patrol‘ but have only now learned which villain they might be going up against. The series is slated to enter production pretty soon so it is almost a shocker that they’ve kept a lid on it this long. Of course, there are a few more ‘Titans’ fans than ‘Doom Patrol’ so it has been a bit easier for them to keep things under the radar.

As to who the villain these heroes will be going up against? Long-term fans of the comic will be thrilled that the team will have to do battle with Eric Morden who is better known as Mr. Nobody!

This villain was introduced in 1964 in ‘Doom Patrol’ #86 though wasn’t a serious stand out until the 1989 ‘Doom Patrol’ Vol. 3 #26 that gave us a full-on criminal mastermind whose insanity brought a level of danger not previously seen in the villain. While he was a non-powered criminal initially, he went through an experiment that took his sanity but also gave him the ability to do the same to others.

The series is currently looking for an A-list actor who is anywhere from their 30’s to 50’s to take the part. “This iteration of Mr. Nobody will be seeking vengeance on the person he holds responsible for the failed experiment that caused his condition which, in addition to his insanity, has left him stuck between two dimensions. While the villains absurd and twisted methodologies will put him into the path of the Doom Patrol, he’ll come to admire the group despite a loathing for superheroes.”

Even if he comes to admire them, it seems highly unlikely that they’ll be hanging out for a beer when the first season comes to a close. The actor for this role will likely be selected shortly as the show is going into production soon so the studio won’t have time to sit on casting the character.

Are you thrilled to see that Mr. Nobody will be the villain that ‘Doom Patrol’ ends up going up against? Do you feel that he is the right choice to put as the antagonist in the first season? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
