Avengers 4

The results of Thanos snapping his fingers at the end of ‘Avengers: Infinity War‘ left theaters across the world sitting in a stunned silence and now Chris Hemsworth has shared that ‘Avengers 4’ is “even more shocking”! He didn’t say if this would be in a good or bad way for audiences but Marvel Studios is constantly finding ways to surprise viewers and with multiple actor contracts coming to a close just about anything is fair game.

However, what the actor means by that, we’ll have to wait until at least May 3rd, 2019 to find out.

According to Hemsworth:

“If you were shocked by [Infinity War], I think the second one is even more shocking, for other reasons entirely. That’s what kind of blew me away the first time I read both scripts, is how they managed to orchestrate so many different characters but give them each their own separate shot and moments, and have it be elevated and feel fresh and unique—not just like a messy, thrown-together assembly of these guys.”

With this being for “other reasons entirely,” it isn’t likely that other deaths will be what are shocking but it isn’t clear what to expect at this time. Hemsworth wasn’t done though and is looking forward to the still mysteriously untitled ‘Avengers 4’ more than he was for ‘Avengers: Infinity War’:

“The second one, I’m probably even more excited about. Just for people to see. I just think it’s another step again. Each step we seem to take with these films, I’ve loved the fact that there’s been growth and evolution, and it continues to surprise people as opposed to sort of flat-lining, which was obviously always a fear—that they’d run out of ideas or run dry of creative excitement. For me, this whole experience has been incredible. In particular the last one.”

Obviously, we’re all hoping after ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ that “the last one” he means ‘Avengers 4’ and not the last movie where he’ll be gearing up as the God of Thunder.

How do you think that ‘Avengers 4’ will be “even more shocking” than ‘Avengers: Infinity War’? Will we see any surprising hero deaths in the film or will they likely be regulated to just our core Avengers who are all coming to the end of their contracts with Marvel Studios?
