Ant-Man and the Wasp posterWith ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ breaking box office records left and right, Marvel is already looking toward their next big release: ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp.’ Yesterday, the House of Ideas piggybacked on the Avengers’ popularity of their latest adventure to announce the coming of a new trailer for the ‘Ant-Man’ sequel featuring various ‘Infinity Wars’ cast members asking “Where was Ant-Man and the Wasp?” So where were they? This new trailer gives a glimpse to that answer!

‘Ant-Man and the Wasp’ will be set after ‘Civil War’ but before the events of ‘Infinity War,’ and will fill in the blanks on what Scott Lang has been up to since we last saw him jailed on The Raft for siding with Captain America. Compared to the heaviness of ‘Infinity War,’ the trailer is very lighthearted and reminds you of how fun the MCU can be (like watching Ant-Man in his Giant-Man form use a truck as a scooter)! And, of course, there’s lots of action to be had!

Oddly, enough, the trailer makes no mention of Michelle Pfeiffer’s Janet van Dyne, especially considering how important the character and her being stuck in the Quantum Realm will factor in the film. It does, however, give some good glimpses of Ant-Man and the Wasp battling the Ghost, so that is a plus. We also get to see Laurence Fishburne playing Bill Foster who may or may not be Goliath.

From the Marvel Cinematic Universe comes “Ant Man and the Wasp,” a new chapter featuring heroes with the astonishing ability to shrink. In the aftermath of “Captain America: Civil War,” Scott Lang grapples with the consequences of his choices as both a Super Hero and a father. As he struggles to rebalance his home life with his responsibilities as Ant-Man, he’s confronted by Hope van Dyne and Dr. Hank Pym with an urgent new mission. Scott must once again put on the suit and learn to fight alongside the Wasp as the team works together to uncover secrets from the past.

Directed by Peyton Reed, ‘Ant-Man and The Wasp’ stars  Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Michael Douglas, Laurence Fishburne, Walton Goggins, Michael Peńa, Hannah John-Kamen, Bobby Cannavale,  Judy Greer, Laurence Fishburne, and Michelle Pfeiffer. The film will buzz into theaters on July 6th.
