Dean Cain became a surprisingly iconic Superman during the run of ‘Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman‘ and the actor has shared that he’d love to reprise the role. The series had a 4-year run after it debuted in 1993 and gained a ton of fans in Cain’s take on Clark Kent as well as Teri Hatcher as Lois Lane. The two were wed at the end of the series, and Cain wants to know what happened to them as much as fans do!

“I would love it if Lois & Clark could be revived. I have some fun ideas about what I’d like to see happen, if we revisit these characters 25 years later. A lot of actors will try to distance themselves from a character, but I have always embraced playing the character, being part of the universe. Right now I’m Supergirl’s adoptive father, Jeremiah Danvers. If in 10 years I play Jor-El or some grandfather figure, I’m cool with that, too.”

Both films and television shows have had great success with revivals as opposed to reboots but the catch here is that DC would have to agree to bring back ‘Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman.’ At this time, the powers that be already have one version of Superman with rare cameos in ‘Supergirl’ and of course Henry Cavill as the Man of Steel on the big screen.

The studios have proven that they don’t tend to like double dipping too much between what can be shown on television if it is on the big screen.

That being said, the DCEU take on the character still hasn’t been well received and this show would come with a built-in fanbase who did want to know what was next. It is also, quite frankly, utterly different than anything else that DC is currently doing in live-action with how light-hearted in tone it was.
