A slew of hints have dropped for ‘Solo: A Star Wars Story’ and many of them have been confirmed in the teaser synopsis Disney has now shared for the film. With only four months to go before the movie drops, it seems almost shocking that we haven’t had more of a push in previews for the film so far. Of course, the massive reshoots may have had something to do with that. With how much that has been reshot of the movie, it will be interesting to see what we get after Phil Lord and Christopher Miller left the production to be replaced with Ron Howard.
Here is the new synopsis that Disney has released:
Board the Millennium Falcon and journey to a galaxy far, far away in “Solo: A Star Wars Story,” an all-new adventure with the most beloved scoundrel in the galaxy. Through a series of daring escapades deep within a dark and dangerous criminal underworld, Han Solo meets his mighty future copilot Chewbacca and encounters the notorious gambler Lando Calrissian, in a journey that will set the course of one of the Star Wars saga’s most unlikely heroes.
We already knew that Chewy and Lando would be in the movie, so it seems fitting that both are thrown directly into the description of the film. It also sounds like with this being “a series of daring escapades” that there should be a ton of fun little adventures which help connect the overall narrative of the movie.
With ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ having been met with mixed reactions, it will be interesting to see how fans turn out for a look into the younger years of Han Solo. While the last movies have worked great with December releases, this is coming in at the end of a month which will also include ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ as well as the still untitled ‘Deadpool’ sequel.
