We all know by now that both fans and critics weren’t overly impressed with David Ayer’s DCEU outing of ‘Suicide Squad’ and Margot Robbie is sharing how she dealt with the critics. Once set to star in a standalone film, ‘Gotham City Sirens‘, ‘Suicide Squad 2’, and ‘Joker and Harley Quinn‘, only ‘Suicide Squad 2’ has a confirmed production plan at this time.

That isn’t to say that the films aren’t being produced but with the recent shakeups in the DCEU production team after the box office bomb of ‘Justice League‘ things might be a little dicey.

Still, Robbie isn’t worried as she states:

“I think when it comes to something that has such a huge fan base already obviously you want to do the fans justice, you want to show them the characters that they fell in love with, but you also can’t be paralyzed by the idea that you can’t please everyone.”

While not being terrified of viewer dislike of the films is a positive outset, it hopefully won’t be closing her eyes to the potential end of her character. While not everyone was thrilled with this iteration of Quinn, she was by far one of the standouts of the movie and there were less complaints about her than most of the rest of the cast or even the Clown Prince of Crime himself who was a bit too lovey dovey towards Quinn for many fans. It wasn’t quite the abusive relationship which has been shown over the years that could have defined a Quinn that came into her own by dismissing him.

Are you glad that Margot Robbie is okay with ignoring the negativity surrounding the movie and wants to continue on with the character or is this a snub against fans? Share your thoughts below!
