Stranger Things 2

It’s not all bad luck on Friday the 13th as today, it’s our good luck that Netflix has decided to drop the second and final trailer for ‘Stranger Things 2’! The Duffer brothers have stated that the second season of the series will be more like a sequel than a new season and from the looks of the trailer, they aren’t kidding! Nobody comes out unscathed after their experience with the Upside Down and now it’s time to deal with the aftermath and the next looming threat to haunt our heroes. (And speaking of heroes, this season it looks like Eleven not only has hair, but has become a bit of a badass!)

‘Stranger Things 2’ will take place in 1984, a year after Season 1 with everyone dealing with the outcome of their experience with the Demogorgon and trying to get their lives back to normal (and finding #justiceforBarb). However, Will is still haunted by his time in the Upside Down and now begins to see a “shadow monster,” something bigger and more sinister that looms and threatens their reality.

The Duffer Bros. have done an excellent job teasing this new threat saying, “There’s an H.P. Lovecraft sort of approach, this inter-dimensional being that is sort of beyond human comprehension. We purposely don’t want to go too much into what it is or what it wants… You don’t really see how it’s all tied together until later. But it’s all connected to this singular threat which is tied into this shape that Will sees in the sky. Will is the way through which we’re able to understand what’s going on.”

As Sheriff Hopper (David Harbour) says in the trailer, “These are not nightmares. It’s happening. And it all leads back to here.”

So start brushing up on your 80s trivia, stocking up on Eggos and (as the Duffer brothers have suggested) adjust your TV  because all 9 episodes of ‘Stranger Things 2’ will drop on Netflix on October 27th!
