“Why does it always gotta be sharks?”
Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the… anywhere really! It’s summertime and you all know what that means, SyFy is back at it again for another round of our favorite annual tradition- ‘Sharknado’ movies! That’s right, we’re gearing up for the latest episode in their ongoing killer-shark-storm saga, ‘Sharknado 5: Global Swarming’!
We are still a little more than a week away from the film’s release, but SyFy is starting to get their hype train rolling with an all new teaser trailer for the film that was first shown at San Diego Comic Con 2017! So what can fans gather from the new trailer? Check it out for yourself below!
You’ll be able to find out on August 6th 2017 when ‘Sharknado 5: Global Swarming’ premieres on SyFy! The film once again stars Ian Ziering and Tara Reid as Fin and April, off on a grand adventure all while trying to survive an unstoppable storm of sharks! This time it’s a global affair, as the Sharknados have become a widespread global catastrophe! Fin and April are in for the adventure of their lives across Europe, Japan, and who knows where else while trying to rescue their son (who is himself trapped within the raging Sharknado!).
As always, Fin and April aren’t alone in their adventures! ‘Sharknado 5: Global Swarming’ is going to be chock full of celebrity cameos to pad out the films run time with lots of fun pop culture nods. While not the quite the full list yet, fans can at least look forward to seeing the following celebrities appearing in at least a cameo role:

With all of these celebrity cameos, and what is sure to be an insane number of sharks, it sounds like ‘Sharknado 5: Global Swarming’ might just be the most ridiculous entry in the series yet!
