It looks as if ‘Justice League Dark‘ has lost another director as it has just been reported that Doug Liman won’t be helming the film after all. This is the second director to depart from the project due to scheduling issues as Guillermo del Toro had been attached since its inception before having to bow out. It isn’t good news for Warner Brother’s DCEU as Zack Snyder had to depart from ‘Justice League‘ due to a personal family tragedy.

Instead of ‘Justice League Dark,’ we’ll see Liman working on Lionsgate’s ‘Chaos Walking‘ which was just greenlit and will star both Tom Holland and Daisy Ridley. This will be the second comic book film which Liman has left as he was at one point lined up to direct ‘Gambit’. It does look like Warner Brothers are wasting no time and are already meeting with potential replacement directors.

Maybe this will be a good opportunity to rename the film which has tentatively been being called ‘Dark Universe which is the name that Universal has announced to be the shared universe of its cinematic monsters.

There have been no plot leaks so far and just news that it would star such classic team members such as John Constantine, Zatanna, Swamp Thing, Deadman, and Etrigan the Demon. The team is actually a newer one in DC’s comics as it hadn’t formed until 2011 even though many of its members have worked together in the past.

Are you looking forward to ‘Justice League Dark’ or has this pre-development hell ruined any chance of a good film? Who would you like to see direct it? Share your thoughts below!
