Marvel’s ‘Inhumans‘ are on a crash course for their IMAX debut and Friday night schedule on ABC and a new logline is sharing a bit more clarification on what to expect from the series. The facts presented aren’t new, but it seems to make it clear that Black Bolt will unsurprisingly be the central character and the previously announced military coup is what sets the stage for what we’ll be seeing.

Here is the new logline with the latest details:

Marvel’s Inhumans explores the never-before-told epic adventure of the royal family including Black Bolt, the enigmatic, commanding King of the Inhumans, with a voice so powerful that the slightest whisper can destroy a city. After the Royal Family of Inhumans is splintered by a military coup, they barely escape to Hawaii where their surprising interactions with the lush world and humanity around them may prove to not only save them but Earth itself.

Fans of the comics know that the Inhumans have traditionally isolated themselves from humankind so it might make you wonder why the Royal Family is heading out into the general populace now. As the leaders are violently thrust out, they must depart from their private little world and hide among humans to survive. However, it looks like the threat to their lives might be gunning for the rest of Earth as well.

Are you looking forward to Marvel’s ‘Inhumans’? Do you feel that a coup is a good setup for why the Inhuman Royal Family is now on Earth where they’ve been separate from? Share your thoughts below True Believers!

‘Inhumans’ will be available in IMAX for two weeks on September 1st, 2017 and debut on ABC this Fall.

I’m very surprised that Black Bolt will be the central character. I’m more surprised that they’re basing this on the classic comic characters rather than something that’s more of a S.H.I.E.L.D. spin-off. I think that’s a plus.
