Star-Wars-The-Force-Awakens-Luke-Skywalker

While ‘Star Wars Celebration’ starts up on Thursday in Orlando many fans can’t make the trek out to attend in person so this year there are options to check out portions of the event! While the entire thing won’t be live streamed into your house, those that are behind the scenes are working so that some of the bigger reveals can be checked out live without having to wait for someone to cover it. Not only that, but Good Morning America is teasing that they have “something” related to ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi‘ this week that is dropping today!

Here is the tease from Good Morning America:

Why am I going to tease you on that when the show has already aired! The news dropping is that a new #ForceForChange is coming that will give the “Ultimate Fan Experience” and the details come straight out of Mark Hamill and Daisy Ridley’s mouths!

Very cool. Not only is it for a good cause once again but talk about a totally amazing set of prizes! For those of you who didn’t want to watch what you could win from contributing this year but still need to be in the know, here is the breakdown:

  • Past – Stay at Skywalker Inn, tour of the archives and the Ranch, and a screening of Star Wars: A New Hope
  • Present – Join the cast and attend the Star Wars: The Last Jedi premiere and exclusive after party
  • Future – Visit the set, meet the directors, and have the chance to appear in the untitled Han Solo movie
  • Grand Prize – One winner will receive the Past, Present, AND Future prizes!

While the Grand Prize is clearly the best, I’d have to say that the Future prize is the one which I would have my eyes on. Can you imagine the chance of actually being in the untitled Han Solo film even if it was only as an extra with a couple of seconds of screen time?

Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy added that:

In a year that we celebrate 40 years of the Star Wars saga, I continue to be inspired by the incredible generosity and charitable efforts of our fans. We are so proud of their tireless dedication to positively impact the lives of children and others around the world and hope this year’s Force For Change campaign will offer a few of those wonderful fans an experience they will never forget.

What was this about Star Wars Celebration live though? The big news there came from StarWars.com which has announced that you can watch it live on the website starting this Friday! They haven’t said if it will be the entire celebration but at the very least we’ll be getting the ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ panel and to be honest that is what most of us are currently waiting for:

No word at this time if we’ll also hear anything about ‘Star Wars Episode IX‘ though I suspect we won’t be seeing anything about it quite yet.

Are you going to be attending ‘Star Wars Celebration’ or checking out the panel live online? Do you think we’ll get a full trailer for the upcoming film? Share your thoughts below!
