Just when you thought you were free to go, here we are with an all new Toy News Tuesday! We’re the one weekly column right here on ScienceFiction.com where we seek out all of the awesome news you need to know about any announcements and cool happenings in the toy industry and put them all in one easy to find place for you! Things seem to be relatively quiet this week on the toy front, which is a little eerie but overall a little relaxing for collectors who are all still trying to track down all of the latest spring releases without having to add more to their checklists of toys to hunt for! Still, even with things seeming to have calmed down a bit this week, there’s still plenty of cool stuff in the Toy News for the week of April 11th, 2017!
Select Fans Get Ready To Liv
Our friends at Diamond Select Toys have released new images for their upcoming new iZombie Select ‘Season 2’ version of series heroin Liv Moore! Liv is set to stand around 6.5″ tall with 16 points of articulation! She also features an entirely new sculpt from zombified head to toe! As mentioned earlier, Liv is now sporting her ‘Season 2’ look for this figure, and she is set to include a ton of episode specific accessories from the hit show! This new Liv Moore iZombie Select figure is set to hit stores this May!
ThreeZero Teases More Walking Dead
The team over at ThreeZero posted a new teaser image to their social media hinting at what they may have coming up for ‘Walking Dead’ fans in the near future – and things are looking good! While they recently announced a new 1:6th scale Michonne figure along with her “pets”, there hasn’t been much word on what we might be able to expect from ThreeZero’s ‘The Walking Dead’ line of figures. The newest teaser features the series logo with a larger image of fan favorite Daryl Dixon, meaning we might be able to expect a 1:6th scale Daryl figure sooner rather than later! Also featured in images as part of the series logo text are Carol, Maggie, Glenn, and the infamous Negan, so here’s hoping Daryl isn’t the only new figure we can look forward to!
We will keep you updated on more ThreeZero ‘Walking Dead’ news as it emerges.
While we don’t do much coverage on Bandai’s S.H. Figuarts line, this one was too good to pass up! The team at Bandai has released a preview of their just announced Starlord S.H. Figuarts figure, based on the hero’s appearance in the upcoming ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2’! There isn’t much information available just yet, but so far from what we can see in the images, we are getting an unmasked head sculpt bearing a striking resemblance to actor Chris Pratt! We are also getting a pair of dual pistols. The figure is set to feature the character’s short jacket look, with the inclusion of a longer jacket piece seeming unlikely. This figure is set to release in September!
More ‘Rogue One’ Exclusives Coming
Just when you thought you were done buying cool ‘Rogue One’ merchandise for a while, the team at Beast Kingdom has revealed a few more additions to their Previews Exclusive ‘Egg Attack’ line of ‘Star Wars’ figures based on the hit film! ‘Rogue One’ fans can check out the latest issue of ‘Previews’ to preorder their own set of The Guardians Of The Whills in the form of Baze Malbus and Chirrut Imwe ‘Egg Attack’ figures! Both of these figures feature uniforms made of real fabrics and are ready to take on The Empire! Chirrut is expected to retail for $60.00 while Baze (who has a few extra accessories) is expected to go for around $73.00

The team at Funko is bringing this larger than life animated comedy to your toy collection with a new series of POP! Vinyls based on the hit show and all of your favorite characters are coming! This wave will include Bojack, Diane Nguyen, Mr. Peanutbutter, Princess Carolyn, and Todd Chavez when it hits stores this May!
Funko Reveals Retailer Exclusives
As we all know, Funko is well known for offering retailers special exclusive figures from their various lines, and in order to celebrate the release of Warner Brother Entertainment’s upcoming ‘Wonder Woman’ live action film, they’ve gone all out with retailer exclusives out the wazoo! In addition, and completely unrelated, but an image has also leaked of a Hot Topic Exclusive ‘Centurion Rory’ POP! Vinyl figure from Funko’s ‘Doctor Who’ line! This is actually the only Rory they’ve announced so far, so it’s safe to say we are probably getting a third full wave of ‘Doctor Who’ themed POP! Vinyls that likely contains regular versions of Rory and assumedly Amy Pond (among others we are hoping for!). There is no set release date yet for Centurion Rory.
