inhumans

A new teaser synopsis has dropped for ‘Inhumans, ‘ and while it doesn’t give away much, it does explain why the Inhuman Royal Family is on Earth and potentially ties deeply into the lore from the comics. Some of this is going to be just a theory on why Black Bolt and the rest of the Royal Family are on Earth and in hiding, but it seems to make sense once we break it down.

First though, here is the official synopsis:

After the Royal Family of Inhumans is splintered by a military coup, they barely escape to Hawaii where their surprising interactions with the lush world and humanity around them may prove to not only save them but Earth itself.

This one is very short and doesn’t say much. However, anyone who knows the story behind these characters can explain why a military coup not only fits on why they had to run from Attilan but likely sets up the villain for the series. Historically speaking, we’ve seen Black Bolt’s brother, Maximus constantly try to take the throne for himself with his mad schemings. While he is always stopped eventually, there are a few instances where he has succeeded. Brother or not, the Royal Family has generally gone pretty easy on him.

While it isn’t confirmed yet that Maximus is behind the coup, this will likely be the case, and the plot will follow the Royal Family as they regain their strength and endeavor to take back Attilan and the throne.

Sadly, this will likely mean that we’ll primarily be seeing them in Earth and not in space. There is no word as to if the city of the Inhumans will also be hidden on the planet, the dark side of the moon, or a different world entirely. However, they play that out could severely impact any potential future direction for the series.

Are you looking forward to checking out the ‘Inhumans’ when it premieres this Fall? Do you think the series has a potential to be an ongoing one or will this be a one and done series? Will we see an appearance from any of the Inhumans which have been introduced in Marvel’s ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.?’ Share your thoughts below True Believers!

‘Inhumans’ will be available in IMAX for two weeks on September 1st, 2017 and debut on ABC on September 26th, 2017.
