James Gunn has confirmed both that ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2‘ is the final film trailer but also that it still isn’t giving us enough details to spoil the movie. That is a big say as we’ve now seen the team add a couple of members, Star-Lord meet his father Ego The Living Planet, a fight with a giant space monster, and being set up to save the Galaxy from a race of golden beings.

So, how exactly haven’t they given us much as of yet? It’s pretty surprising as he stated that:

How awesome is that?! Most of what we’ve seen either plays out or is explained in the first 15 minutes, meaning that there is an entire plot still waiting to be told when we go view it on the big screen. I, for one, am stoked that this is the case. Gunn has always been good at keeping the details of his films under wraps, so I was expecting no different but to hear the confirmation has me thrilled.

Oh, he also thanked the marketing crew for being able to deliver trailers without spoilers:

Sounds like we’ll be in for quite a few surprises. And for this being the final trailer? He did verify that by saying:

Gunn does like to play around though and also had a bit of fun talking with some of the actors from the film. This is worth a quick view and was shot in 360 so make sure to spin the video around to see everyone involved!

I can’t get more excited about the movie at this time but if I weren’t already completely eager to see it then Gunn’s comments would probably have put me over the edge. The idea that we don’t know most of the plot even with all of the teasers is fantastic and the next two months need to fly by a little quicker.
