inhumans

For those wondering who would be in charge of Marvel’s ‘The Inhumans‘ on ABC than you’ll be happy to hear that Scott Buck (‘Dexter’,’Six Feet Under’) has been picked up as the showrunner and Executive Producer! Having just worked with Marvel and Netflix on ‘Iron Fist’, he already has a familiarity with what Marvel is looking for which will be key when bringing The Inhumans royal family to life on the small screen. These are characters who some love and some hate but will be quite important moving forward for Marvel. Not only have we already seen Inhumans introduced on ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ but now we’ll be seeing the royal family who is supposed to be in charge of them.

It will be interesting to see if they’ve been here in hiding the whole time or if they make an entirely new take on the characters when the show debuts.

The fun part is that while the movie of these characters was scrubbed, the first couple of episodes will still premiere on select dates in IMAX theaters which will give us a fun visual experience to kick the show off with. I just hope it won’t make the actual airing of the regular episodes seem sub-standard in comparison. The first two episodes will be aired in this format in the first two weeks of September 2017 which ABC premiering the show shortly after in the Fall for its first season 8-episode run.

The bad news, of course, is that many were excited for Vin Disel to play Black Bolt though that looks to have fallen to the wayside once this turned into a television series instead of a feature film.

Are you looking forward to Marvel’s Inhumans? Do you think that we’ll get a better story out of them as an ongoing series or would they have fit better with Marvel’s Cinematic Universe? Share your thoughts below True Believers!
