If nothing else, Disney’s upcoming ‘Han Solo’ solo picture seems to be rounding up quite a fan favorite cast.  Alden Ehrenreich, who stole the show in ‘Hail, Caesar!’ will headline, with Donald Glover filling in as Lando Calrissian.  The latest addition is the Khaleesi herself, ‘Game of Thrones’ star Emilia Clarke, who will be playing an undisclosed role.

“StarWars.com is excited to announce that Clarke, known for her stirring portrayal of Daenerys Targaryen in HBO’s Game of Thrones, will join the upcoming untitled Han Solo Star Wars movie. Clarke’s role will round out a dynamic cast of characters that Han and Chewie will encounter on their adventures.”

Clarke is best known for her ‘GoT’ role, but she has ventured onto the big screen, most recently ‘Me Before You’.  She also played Sarah Conner in the ill-fated ‘Terminator: Genisys’.

It is known that Tessa Thompson, Zoë Kravitz and Naomi Scott have also auditioned for parts, but it is unclear if Clarke won the same role over them or if she auditioned for a different part.  Thompson appeared in the hit ‘Creed’ in 2015 and can currently be seen on the HBO series ‘Westworld’.  She will be playing Marvel superhero Valkyrie in ‘Thor: Ragnarok’.  Kravitz can currently be seen in ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’.  She has also appeared in the ‘Divergent’ movies and ‘Mad Max Fury Road’.  Scott appeared briefly in ‘The Martian’ but should achieve a much higher profile next year when she plays Kimberly the Pink Ranger in ‘Saban’s Power Rangers’.

What type of role would you like to see Clarke have in the ‘Star Wars’ universe?
