While Ryan Murphy loves to weave secrecy around ‘American Horror Story’ he did just reveal that ‘Roanoke‘ will have a direct tie-in to ‘Freak Show’! From misdirection to what this season will be about to a full “secret season being in development for at least 2 years out, it is kind of surprising that Murphy was willing to drop this little teaser. Somehow that makes me suspect it won’t be what Cuba Gooding Jr. says ” your head goes ‘boom’ and you’ve got brains all over the wall, you’re going to be like, ‘Motherf**king Cuba Gooding Jr.” so that means we have some, even more, fun surprises in store.

So how is this going to link to ‘American Horror Story: Freak Show’? Well, it’s all about everyone’s favorite serial killer psychopath Dandy Motts. Or, one of his ancestors. Murphy reveals:

“We explain how the Motts began which is funny.”

They are going to show distant relatives and not only that but we’re going to see a ton of actors return. Which ones?

“Many, many, many that you have not seen in years that you have wanted to see!”

It looks like they had to book them in advance as it has been scheduling that has been an issue and not from a lack of interest.

You can see what else he has to say on the subject here:

Personally, I love that we’re going to be seeing more about the Motts. Not only that but it sounds like we’re getting another fun little addition to the ‘American Horror Story’ timeline and I’m curious as to how this will help tie everything together.

Are you looking forward to seeing how ‘American Horror Story: Roanoke’ plays out? Happy to hear that we’ll be getting more of the interconnected world that initially was billed as stand alone seasons play out on the small screen? Share your thoughts below!
