Details for the sixth season of ‘American Horror Story‘ have been light since we won’t know the actual plot until it airs, but we have just learned that Sarah Paulson (‘Serenity’,’Mud’) is returning! She revealed this during the TCA press event and, as everything else involved with what is to come, she gave away a whole lot of nothing. Ryan Murphy has done a great job in using his cast members in new ways by bringing the actors back in new roles and I’m very curious as to how who see Paulson play when she returns.

One thing I do suspect is that unlike ‘American Horror Story: Hotel’ she won’t be reprising one of her past roles. So far she’s been “a psychic, an asylum-trapped journalist, a witch, a two-headed woman and a dead/undead heroin addict.” As we don’t even know what time period  this season’s ‘AHS’ will take place, I couldn’t even hazard a guess at which role she could revisit though I have a feeling that while the seasons are all going to be connected going forward, it won’t be Paulson’s character that does it.

While we don’t fully know who she’ll be joining to round out the cast, the names that have been confirmed so far are:

I have no doubt that we’ll see at least a few more familiar faces making an appearance as well. Sadly, it still doesn’t look as if one of them will be Jessica Lange.

Are you happy to hear that Sarah Paulson is returning to ‘American Horror Story’? What kind of a character do you think they’ll have her play this time around? Share your thoughts below!
