Almost immediately after debuting the first look at the cast on Twitter, Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment unveiled the first footage of Zack Snyder’s ‘Justice League’. The director tweeted out the footage from his account shortly after leaving the stage at Hall H. You can check out the special reel below, followed by the official synopsis of the film:

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
For better or for worse, this teaser definitely looks like a Zack Snyder film. But unlike ‘Man of Steel’ and ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’, ‘Justice League’ feels more like a comic book movie despite the dark color pallet. Everything feels lighter and generally more fun than the previous offerings from the DC Cinematic Universe.
Regarding the concept art, it’s great to see the team assembled like that in their costumes (even if Superman is with them). All six of their suits are great takes on each of the heroes’ classic looks. It’s a little surprising that Jason Momoa’s attire doesn’t have more orange incorporated, but it still looks good. And Ezra Miller’s Flash suit stands out, but maybe not in the best way. Aside from the fact that the actor still doesn’t sell me on the fact that he’s a good fit for the role, I would expect his gear to be more sleek and aerodynamic. Instead, the armor looks a bit clunky. We’ll see how it ends up looking onscreen though once more footage is released down the line.
What do you think about the first look at ‘Justice League’? Are you excited to see DC Comics’ biggest heroes team up on the big screen? And how does this compare so far to Zack Snyder’s previous films set in this universe? Sound off in the comments.
