Dacre Montgomery takes on the daunting role of Jason Lee Scott, the Red Ranger, leader of the ‘Power Rangers’ in Lionsgate’s new film, which adapts the classic live-action kids show for a new generation.  (Or maybe for the original audience who are now grown ups.)

Last week, we brought you footage and photos of Elizabeth Banks in action as would-be world-conqueror Rita Repulsa, invading the town of Angel Grove.  Now we have some footage of one of the actual Power Rangers in action… or inaction rather.  Montgomery appears as Jason who seems to get gassed and then collapse.

You can watch the footage for yourself below:

Saban’s Power Rangers follows five ordinary high school kids who must become something extraordinary when they learn that their small town of Angel Grove – and the world – is on the verge of being obliterated by an alien threat. Chosen by destiny, our heroes quickly discover that they are the only ones who can save the planet. But to do so they will have to overcome their real-life issues and band together as the Power Rangers before it is too late.

‘Saban’s Power Rangers’ is presented by Lionsgate Entertainment and is directed by Dean Israelite, starring Elizabeth Banks, Dacre Montgomery, Naomi Scott, R.J. Cyler, Ludi Lin, Becky G., David Denman, Anjai Jay, Patrick Sabongui, Lisa Berry and Emily Madison.  It’s ready to morph into theaters on March 24, 2017.

What do you think?  How are things shaping up?
