captain america: civil war

Now that the superhero clash between Batman and Superman is out of the way, all eyes are now looking to see how Marvel treats what happens when two of the world’s best heroes go against one another. At the MTV Movie Awards Sunday night, the first clip from ‘Captain America: Civil War‘ aired which highlights the special talents Captain America, the Falcon, and the Scarlet Witch has when working as a team.

The clip has the aforementioned trio fighting heavily body armored soldiers to infiltrate a building consumed with poisonous gas. It’s cool to see how Wanda’s powers have evolved since ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ as well as Falcon’s own Redwing bird drone. The one thing that truly stood out in the clip was how finely tuned the three of them seem to be together.

Marvel’s “Captain America: Civil War” finds Steve Rogers leading the newly formed team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. But after another incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability, headed by a governing body to oversee and direct the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers, resulting in two camps—one led by Steve Rogers and his desire for the Avengers to remain free to defend humanity without government interference, and the other following Tony Stark’s surprising decision to support government oversight and accountability.

‘Captain America: Civil War’ stars Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Emily VanCamp, Elizabeth Olsen, Anthony Mackie, Chadwick Boseman, Paul Rudd, Paul Bettany, Don Cheadle, Jeremy Renner, and Martin Freeman and opens in theaters on May 6.
