It seems that Jennifer Lawrence (‘The Hunger Games’,’House at the End of the Street’) isn’t the only one willing to return to the X-Men film franchise as James McAvoy (‘Wanted’,’Victor Frankenstein’) has gone on record saying that he would be happy to reprise his role! About a year back Lawrence had stated that she was done playing Mystique after ‘X-Men: Apocalypse‘ and with Hugh Jackman being done as Wolverine it made many wonder if that meant a new set of trilogies would meant the cast would be based entirely on those in the newer cast members.

From what the actors are saying though it seems that many are willing to make a comeback.

First off McAvoy confirmed that he thinks Lawrence would happily return and would miss her if she didn’t as:

“Yeah, I’ve heard… people have said she’s not into it, stuff like that. She’s always said to me that she would think about it. So yeah, that sounds great. I hope she does, because I love working with Jennifer. You know, we’ve been like an extended sort of family, in a weird way, for six or seven years now. Every two years, we get back together and hang out making a movie, then in six months’ time or a year’s time, we all go on the road promoting it, and we see each other again. I’d be really said not to see her every couple of years.”

The way he phrases it sounds like he’s planning on coming back in a couple years for another one and when asked point blank if that was the case says:

“If they want me to, I’ll do more, yeah.”

As we’re getting a whole slew of mutants joining the team in the latest film and more ‘New Mutants’ are coming it is clear that they are going to need someone to teach them. McAvoy has been doing a great job as Xavier and if that continues in ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ that is casting we’re not going to want changed at any point in the near future.

Aside from Lawrence and McAvoy we also know that Michael Fassbender and Nicholas Hoult have their contracts up with the current movie so either Fox is going to have to be upping what they pay out soon or we’re going to be down a few major characters.

Are you happy to hear that McAvoy would be willing to reprise his role? Are you glad that he’ll finally play a bald Xavier in ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’? Share your thoughts below True Believers!
