We’re under a month away from the premiere of the sixth season of ‘Game of Thrones‘ and now we know the title and a brief description of what we can expect from the first episode. Obviously, they aren’t going to write one that gives us any of the real answers but as always this could be viewed as a spoiler so you might want to turn back now. With the previous season ending in what appears to have been the most shocking death to date, there is, of course, one specific character who is mentioned. We’ll get to that in a moment, though.

First up, the title of the episode which is premiering on the 24th of this month is ‘The Red Woman’ and I’m sure we all know exactly that they are referring to the priestess Melisandre. You know, the one who has the ability to bring back the dead?

Speaking of the dead, the brief description of the first episode when it returns is:

“Jon Snow is dead. Daenerys meets a strong man. Cersei sees her daughter again.”

Could this be what we all have felt would open the door to Jon’s return to the land of the living? Could he be bathed in fire and actually be a Targaryen which would give him a true claim to the throne in Westeros? I suspect if they do take this perfect opportunity to bring Jon Snow back from the dead that it will likely be at the very end of the episode and a key plot point that they don’t return to for a good chunk of the season. Either that or she’ll just abscond with his body and we won’t hear anything about this until further down the line.

Unlike the finale of ‘The Walking Dead‘, we all know that ‘Game of Thrones’ knows how to deliver on a proper tease.

What else will be happening this season? Thankfully a new description of what key points they are touching upon has surfaced as well!

Following the shocking developments at the conclusion of season five, including Jon Snow’s bloody fate at the hands of Castle Black mutineers, Daenerys’ near-demise at the fighting pits of Meereen, and Cersei’s public humiliation in the streets of King’s Landing, survivors from all parts of Westeros and Essos regroup to press forward, inexorably, towards their uncertain individual fates. Familiar faces will forge new alliances to bolster their strategic chances at survival, while new characters will emerge to challenge the balance of power in the east, west, north and south.

More war and power struggles are in our futures, my friends! We’re under a month away from seeing what happens.

Are you excited for the season premiere of ‘Game of Thrones’? Do you think that all the clues mean that we’ll see Melisandre bringing Jon Snow back to life or stealing his body for a future resurrection? Share your thoughts below!
