If you thought that Marvel’s ‘Doctor Strange‘ already had an impressive cast it sounds like they are adding one more amazing name as Michael Stuhlbarg (‘Boardwalk Empire’,’Men in Black 3′) is in talks to perform in the film as well! There is no word as to which part Stuhlbarg is up for at this time. If he does sign up he’ll be joining Benedict Cumberbatch who is currently set to portray the Sorcerer Supreme Doctor Strange, Rachel McAdams as the Night Nurse who will be the female lead, Tilda Swinston as the Ancient One, Chiwetel Ejiofor as the villainous Baron Mordo, and possibly Mads Mikkelsen in an unknown role.
Marvel’s Phase 3 is getting a whole lot bigger!
While Stuhlbarg has had a few stints with science fiction this will be his debut appearance into the comic book adaptations which are dominating the box offices as of late. He has a large body of work behind him though with a flair for dramatic roles that can truly showcase his onscreen presence. One rumor has him playing Dr. Nicodemus West who is the surgeon that saves Strange’s hands after an accident though leaves him with nerve damage and is a major part of Strange’s life through his earlier comic years.
Marvel has previously explained away magic as advanced technology in the ‘Thor’ films. So it will be interesting to see if this will be the actual introduction to the mystic arts or if Strange will stumble upon an alien influence that will give him access to this technology.

‘Doctor Strange’ will appear on the big screen on November 4th, 2016.
