In a recent interview, Executive Producer Marc Guggenheim mentioned a little bit about Firestorm and how he may play into ‘Legends of Tomorrow.’ The news could be leading up towards a major shake up of the character. That or Guggenheim is just playing his cards close to the vest for casting news. In The CW’s ‘Legends of Tomorrow,’ we’ll be seeing an extended crossover event for the characters introduced so far in ‘The Flash’ and ‘Green Arrow’ and I suspect another launchpad for new heroes and villains as well. With the trailer looking amazing, I’m sure that fans of DC’s televised universe have been itching for more details and this might be a big one!

Currently Firestorm (as has been introduced on ‘The Flash’) is actually made up of two people with one half being Victor Garber’s Professor Stein and the other  Robbie Amell’s Ronnie Raymond. The interesting thing to note right now is that on ‘Legends of Tomorrow’ only the Professor is signed on as a cast member while Ronnie Raymond is nowhere to be seen in any of the press or promotional material.

So when Marc Guggenheim was asked about it he had a very cryptic response:

“It’s a good question. I will say Victor Garber, who plays Martin Stein, is a part of the spinoff… and we wouldn’t have Martin Stein on the show if there wasn’t going to be some Firestorm.”

So we’re going to see Firestone but no Robbie? How well that play out you ask? The answer may contain a bit of a spoiler so if you want to be surprised on how this season of ‘The Flash’ may end and where they might go with the character I’d turn back now.

Spoiler Warning

Still with me? Well for starters, I’m going to point out that earlier in the season we were introduced to a character named Jason Rusch who was played by Luc Roderique. For those unfamiliar with Rusch, he actually becomes one of the hosts of the Firestorm Matrix after Ronnie Raymond is killed in the comics. Will we be seeing Raymond killed at the closure of this season of ‘The Flash’? A previous rumor seemed to indicate that and with someone who has been a host in the comics already introduced, I suspect this is the direction we’ll see it going. The other thought is that Dranz Dameh as ‘Jay Jackson’ could actually take on the role of the host though it’ll be quite some time before we have any concrete details.

What do you think will be Ronnie Raymond’s fate in ‘The Flash’? Do you think we’ll have a new second host for Firestorm? Share your thoughts below!
