‘Game of Thrones: A Telltale Games Series’ has just released the trailer for the third chapter of their six part ‘Game of Thrones’ series that will be launching over the next couple of days.

This third episode is entitled ‘The Sword in the Darkness,’ and it follows multiple characters from across many locations, from the Wall, to King’s Landing, and all the way across the seas to Mereen. Characters such as Margaery Tyrell, Cersei and Tyrion Lannister, and Jon Snow all make appearances, as they did in previous chapters, but now alliances and rivalries will clearly begin to aid, or hinder, the player based on their choices made in earlier episodes.

Here is the summary of Episode Three’s plot, provided alongside the trailer:

“Asher, the exile, heads to Mereen in search of an army to take on the Whitehills. Meanwhile, far across land and sea in Westeros, Mira must deal with the lethal politics of King’s Landing. Her family’s safety is paramount and she will do anything to protect them, but nothing is given freely, and her choice of allies may soon come to haunt her. To the north, in Ironrath, the Whitehill occupation continues. Gryff Whitehill, fourth-born son, is out to prove himself, and brutality and violence grows daily, pushing the Forresters to make far-reaching decisions. Finally, at the Wall, Gared learns that he must head north if he is to help his house survive. But fate is cruel, forcing choices that will change his path forever.”

The release schedule for Episode 3 is as follows:

    • March 24th – PC/Mac (Worldwide) and Playstation 3/4 (US/SCEA)
    • March 25th – Xbox 360/One (Worldwide), PlayStation 3/4 (EU/SCEE)
    • March 26th – iOS and Android devices

Episode 3 is rated ‘M’ (Mature) for Intense Violence, Blood and Gore, Sexual Themes, and Strong Language. The future content within the upcoming episodes have not yet been rated, but as they are based on the ‘Game of Thrones’ series, it might be a safe bet to assume they’ll be rated M as well.
