On top of the winners of the best of the best in gaming this year during ‘The Game Awards 2014’, there also came a plethora of “world premiere” game announcements.

A lot of the “world premiere” announcements made during the awards show was of some brand new footage of titles that we had already known about. Among these, some definite standouts would have to be ‘The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’, the online mode of ‘Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain’ simply called ‘Metal Gear Online’, ‘Bloodborne’, ‘Mario Maker’, ‘The Order: 1886’ and ‘No Man’s Sky’.

Regardless, while a chunk of what was announced during the awards show were games that have already been seen, there were also announcements of entirely new games as well. Notable mentions among the handful of brand new games announced came in the form of titles like the newest project by the creators of the critically acclaimed indie hit ‘Gone Home’ called ‘Tacoma’, and a teaser for the newest game by dev team Hazelight, a new studio comprised of former members of the creators behind the critically acclaimed ‘Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons’.

There were also a couple reveals of games that had been only softly announced in the past, such as the first-time gameplay footage of the upcoming ‘King’s Quest’ reboot and a teaser for ‘Human Element’, an online multiplayer post-apocalyptic first person shooter by Robotoki, a new team lead Robert Bowling of Infinity Ward ‘Call of Duty’ fame.

With all of the different “world premiere” announcements made at ‘The Game Awards 2014’, it is safe to say that there are definitely a lot of games to be looking forward to within the next year and a half or so.
