We just got our first look of Paul Rudd as Scott Lang in Marvels ‘Ant-Man’ and now we’re getting some early shots of Evangeline Lilly’s hairdo for her role as Hope Van Dyne in the film. While this doesn’t guarantee that she will be the daughter of Janet Van Dyne, it wouldn’t surprise me too much if they end up having her be the offspring of Janet and Hank Pym. Could this mean Janet was the original Wasp and it was potentially why Hank hung up his suit in the first place? Could this be how she is introduced to Rudd’s character and be the potential blossoming of a Wasp and Ant-Man partnership? There is a lot of speculation there but it also feels like pretty natural progression.

At any rate, Lilly shared two great shots from the set on Instagram and I’m sure we’ll be seeing quite a bit more soon.

First up is a shot with Evangeline and Rudd that she has captioned “First day on set with #PaulRudd. #ilovemylife #antman #hopevandyne #scottlang #marvelcomics”

Second up she asks “How’s my new do?” which I’m sure we can all say looks great and looks suspciously like the do that The Wasp has warn throughout the years.

It would make sense if they wanted to find a way to bring on more Avengers to have not just one but both of these two joining the ranks. Of course, at the same time I’ve always felt that these were two of the less useful and interesting on the team. That doesn’t mean that I don’t want to see the stand alone film. I’m just not sure if they would be destined to fit in well with the already established members.

What do you think of Lilly’s new look for the film? Do you think she is destined to become a full fledged super hero or is her hair cut just to throw us off? Share your thoughts below true believers!
