After a long and rocky road filled with creative differences and rewrites, director Peyton Reed announced on Twitter that production on ‘Ant-Man’ had finally commenced in San Francisco, California. That tweet also came with the news that a number of cast members including Judy Greer, T.I., and John Slattery had been added to the film alongside stars Paul Rudd, Michael Douglas, Corey Stoll, and Evangeline Lilly. Now, we have the first official photo of our hero (at full size) standing near the Golden Gate Bridge.

In a press release sent out, Marvel Studios unveiled our first look at the ‘I Love You Man’ and ‘Anchorman’ star as the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s size-shifting swindler Scott Lang. Shown in front of the most recognizable bridges in the world, Rudd’s face looks as if it were roughed up a bit. Who knows where the battle scars originated from, but feel free to speculate as you check out the photo for yourself below, followed by the official synopsis of the movie:

Armed with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, con-man Scott Lang must embrace his inner-hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym, protect the secret behind his spectacular Ant-Man suit from a new generation of towering threats. Against seemingly insurmountable obstacles, Pym and Lang must plan and pull off a heist that will save the world.
